Exemplar Artifacts from LIS 445/545
Services to Multicultural Populations/545
LIS 445/545 is a service learning class that I teach every fall semester. As part of the course, student volunteer for 20 hours at a local community service provider. The student's assignment is to observe and reflect on how our class discussions about different cultural and ethnic groups can be applied to the work of the service provider or its clients. At the end of class, the student is to produce an artifact that fills an information gap or need that they have observed in their work. These are some examples of their work.
